All about Emma

The name of the book that I am currently reading is Emma, written by Jane Austen. I chose this book because it seems like a romance novel, and I rarely read romance novels, so I'm trying something new. Another reason why I chose it is because my cousin told me Jane Austen is her favorite author and I never read a book by her. After doing some research on this book, I learned that it is a combination of mystery and romance. I hope to get (out of the book), a sense of happiness and content. The reason for this is because based on what I know about the book, I think i am going to like it. Jane Austen was born December 16th, 1775, in Hampshire, England. She was the seventh of eight children and was educated by her father. She published only four novels in her lifetime but two more were published after her death. Jane died in 1817 at the age of only forty-one. One of her most famous works is Pride and Prejudice. I am looking forward to continue reading and giving you updates on this book.

I actually saw the movie of the book you are reading. I saw two versions, the English version and the Hindi one which stars Ashwariya Rai.

The movie was good, not great, but good. Most of the time, the novels are better than the movies because the reader gets to interpret the characters and the information the author has provided them with. In the movie, however, the main character is mostly favored.

Hope you enjoy reading it since I see you everyday with it. =]

I had seen the cover of Emma, and initially i thought that the book would be a bit boring. The cover doesn't seem that interesting, but through you entry, I feel like if the book could actually be quite good. Well, i guess that goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! I am looking forward however, to reading more updates that you have for this book. Enjoy reading!! :)

I saw the cover of Emma too. It's so pretty. I've heard of Pride and Prejudice also. I think she wrote Little Women too. Little Women was a bit dry but I think based on what you said, that Emma is better. Keep posting because I want to know some more about the book.
